Common questions.
USING THE PRODUCTS

Once your artist removes the initial bandage — usually within a few hours of finishing the tattoo. Wash gently with the Healing Wash first, pat dry, then apply a thin layer of balm. Repeat 2–3 times daily for the first two weeks.

Less than you think. A pea-sized amount covers a palm-sized area. Over-applying is the most common mistake — it traps moisture and can slow healing. The balm should disappear into the skin, not sit on top.

Yes. The Daily Lotion and Mineral SPF are designed for ongoing use on healed work. The Brightening Serum is specifically for tattoos that are at least 8 weeks healed and starting to look dull.

Most are. The Brightening Serum contains active ingredients we recommend discussing with your doctor first. All other products are formulated without retinoids or essential oils and are generally considered safe — but please consult your healthcare provider.
INGREDIENTS & FORMULATION

Yes. Nothing in our line contains added fragrance. Some products have a very faint scent from their natural ingredients — that’s the ingredients themselves, not added perfume.

Five of our six products are vegan. The Aftercare Balm contains beeswax, which we sourced from a small Vancouver Island apiary because no plant-based alternative performed comparably in our testing.

All Inkwell Co. products are formulated and manufactured in British Columbia, Canada.

No. Never have, never will. We test on consenting humans — mostly ourselves and a panel of tattoo artists.

Canada Post shipping times vary by destination and service. Within BC, standard delivery is 2–3 business days. Across Canada, it’s 4–9 business days. Faster options are available at checkout.

Yes — orders over $200 ship free via Regular Parcel within Canada.

Unopened products can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. For opened products, we offer a satisfaction exchange — if a product doesn’t work for you, contact us and we’ll make it right.
